Troubleshooting

Quick fixes for connection issues, cooldowns, and Premium recognition in IG Exporter.

Login or connection issues

If data doesn’t export even though you’re connected:

  • Log out and sign back in via instagram.com
  • Check that the target account is public
  • Try again later — Instagram may temporarily limit requests

Premium or license issues

If Premium isn’t recognized or your plan still shows as Free:

  • Make sure you’re signed in with the same email used for purchase
  • Wait a few minutes — license sync can take a short time
  • Reload the extension or restart your browser
  • If the issue persists, contact support with:
    • The email used for purchase
    • Payment date
    • Order confirmation or receipt

If no matching payment is found, please verify your transaction and payment method.


Cooldown

If you see a ‘Cooldown’ message, it’s normal — Instagram temporarily limits actions. Wait for a while before trying again.


Perpetual cooldown

If the cooldown never clears:

  • Re-sign in on instagram.com
  • Wait up to 24 hours — detailed data may take time to unlock
  • Increase the ‘Profile request delay’ to about 10 seconds to reduce rate limits

Rate limits and temporary blocks

Instagram may block frequent or automated requests. To reduce blocking risk:

  • Increase the delay between requests (10–20 seconds)
  • Avoid running multiple exports at once
  • Wait 24 hours before retrying if blocked
